Applications for testing the Michelle Ruffle Coat is now open! Please find all relevant info below. Link to application form can be found at the bottom of this post.
Please keep the following in mind before applying:
The test will run from 30 SEPTEMBER – 10 OCTOBER. PLEASE APPLY BY THURSDAY, 29TH SEPTEMBER. Testers will be required to sew and send back the feedback form and photo of sewn garment by MONDAY, 10 OCTOBER. If you fail to meet the deadline then you will not receive a copy of the final pattern and a free pattern from my shop.
A Facebook group will be created for the group testing the pattern, and you will be added if your application is successful.
We like our testers to have a lot of input with the construction steps, so preference will be given to experienced sewers who don’t need visual sewing instructions. Written instructions will however be provided. Detailed photo instructions and a “how to” video will be available with the final pattern.
Ok , so more about the pattern…
The coat features 3 bodice ruffles (front and back), that are sewn in the seams that join the three separate bodice pieces together. The coat also has a waist seam and darts in the front and back skirt. Optional elements are front welt pockets and the addition of closures. We used a single sew-on press stud (snap fastener) for ours to close at the top. The coat is fully lined.
This pattern is for INTERMEDIATE – ADVANCED sewers.
It comes in sizes XXS – XXL. Please find Size Charts below.
